My partner Danny and I were formally invited to attend the Stake Conference at Macarthur Ward with Brother L'Poau and his lovely wife. We were told by Brother L'Poau that an apostle of the LDS church would be attending and that it would be an experience not to be missed in this lifetime. I have to admit at first I was aprehendsive asking myself questions like " How can an apostle be on the earth, in these latter days?" to fully understand why I questioned this you have to understand that I was originally raised under the Roman Catholic faith when the only apostles we knew were the 12 around The Last Supper table and the concept of having " modern day" apostles to teach the gospel was just unheard of.

The apostle that was to speak before the congregation was Elder Jeffery Holland and his lovely wife. Prior to their respective testimonies, the congregation was entertained by the Macarthur Youth Hymn Choir and the shared testimonies of the Macarthur Stake President; Pres. Tupou, 2 other young women of our stake as well as the Regional Stake President who commented on how much the church has grown in Sydney since it's conception almost 50 years ago and commented that Campbelltown/Macarthur Stake once started as only a small congregation with only a sunday school.

The Macarthur Youth Hymn Choir then sang Joseph Smith's First Prayer, Hymn 26, LDS Hymnbook, a song about the prophet Joseph Smith and his testimony of when Heavenly Father and Jesus came before him in the woodlands and told him that the Book Of Mormon is a true account of the testament of Jesus Christ in these latter days in the Americas. As it states in Moroni 10:4 in the Book Of Mormon, " And when ye shall recieve these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart with real intent having faith in christ he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." Joseph did in fact ask Heavenly Father if these things are true and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ manifested their image before him and gave him the blessing of knowing that the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a true and blessed testiment of the good works of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After the hymn Pres. Tupou came before the congregation again to share with us the importance of being "sealed to the temple" another aspect of LDS that neither Danny or myself have ever considered prior to him and myself being active once more within the church, I always knew of Heavenly Father' splan for us to live a life eternal but never knew before my time with the LDS that if you are to attend the temple and be sealed with your beloved and your children that you are to be sealed as a family for all eternity including in this life and the next under the covenants bestowed upon the members of the church at their baptism and all through out their lives, Danny and myself have heard Brother L'Poau go on and on about the importance of temple before but have never sincerely considered it till we spoke with Elder Avila and his wife and now the same blessed words were emanating from our Stake Pres. Words of love, honour, respect, dignity and encouragement that we shall be wed within the temple under the covenants that our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ have made for us under his plan to bring us closer to each other and closer to him in the life after this.

Next Sister Particia Holland was to speak, her testimonial to the Church of Jesus Christ and the Gospel was nothing short of inspiring. For myself personally it was almost as if it was a mother up there sharing her world of wisdom with us young women and mothers of the church. Her testimony mainly revolved itself around the topic of faith and hope and the circle of trust that needs to be maintained between Christ and the members of the church. She mentioned one of the many visionary dreams that her daughter-in-law had shared with her that many of us women from many walks of life would have been able to identify with. Her D-I-L envisioned in her dream a tsunami of sorts of overbearing trials and scenarios that herself, her family and her ward were enduring; the waves were getting bigger and she could see herslf being pulled under the dramatic stresses of it all when her mother told her to come over and join her on this rock that was just a little bit larger than that of the waves. As she sat beside her mother she could feel a great sense of comfort yet she was still afraid as these waves were lapping at the rock just near the base of where she was sitting then in her dream she heard her mother say to her " why are you afraid? Have faith in Christ and all would unfold as it should."
That made alot of sense to me, have faith, if not in Christ then in yourself, have the confidence that you as a strong woman can weather the storm of trials laid before you. It was almost as tho she was speaking to me personally through a sea of people to give me the strength and endurance that I need to get through the trials and tribulations that I as a mother have to endure the following week. It also touched my heart and spirit that she kept using the words " Your children will return to you" almost as if it was some sort of omen or calling for strength for me to continue my battle through the courts so my children will be home with me once more.

Next it was Elder Holland's turn to speak before all of us and a calm fell before the congregation as we awaited for the words of a modern day prophet to spill forth and fill our minds and hearts with the words of wisdom. He firstly spoke of faith and the importance of faith within the family, especially during these times of the economic crisis and being able to have the family as a pillar of strength.

He also spoke forth to the young men of the congregation and encouraged them to partake of mission work, and how it had changed his life dramatically. He spoke of a verse in the Book Of Mormon that stated that Heavenly Father wants us to grow and perform miracles greater than those that he had performed, Elder Holland questioned "How can we be greater than Heavenly Father?" by spreading the gospel far and wide to all the many countries and continents all over the globe so others too can share in Christs great plan for our eternal salvation. He asked the men and women of the stake to give their own personal tithing, not monetarily, but through their own time and just to give 10 years of dedicated service to the Lord and his teachings.

He asked the women of the stake to be a pillar of strength to the men of the stake and help them to honor their preisthood principles, whilst maintaining honor within the home and to keep the covenant that they have promised to both their spouses and the Lord. Again he spoke of faith and the temple principles and the covenant of temple sealing that the Lord promised us that we shall be sealed eternal to our spouses and our children. What greater blessing would the Lord be able to bestow on a woman than to have her children that her and her spouse created under the covenant to be sealed to her eternal. Elder Holland also used the phrase " you will get your children back" and again it reduced me to tears, of the happy kind as I said earlier it was part of the message that spoke to me most. Almost as if it was the Lords message to me to keep fighting, don't give up hope and most of all have faith when the going gets tough and your faith and hope are being tested.

Finally he gave a blessing to all of those in attendance that we shall have faith, strength, courage and the power of the preisthood. That our families would be able to accept the blessing of the mission before us and the women always prepared for whatever life throws at us as we accept the covenants of the temple. There was more that he said but by this time i had been overcome with a barrage of tears as his words touched my spirit.

Danny and I attended the Liverpool Stake LDS YSA Fireside, all in all it was fun, alot less uppity than the sacrament meetings but I guess that's what you get seeing as tho sacrament meetings are supposed to be more reverent and all.
We were invited to the Fireside by Brother Danny and his wife Blair, truly beautiful wonderful people; glad to have met them, they were to do a talk that evening about their personal dating/courting experience prior to their marriage...the antedotes were funny and it was cute how they were bouncing statements off each other...their first date was at Subway...wow!
It got me thinking tho of the first "date" that my Danny and I went on...well actually it wasn't supposed to be a date as such but that's what it turned out to be...LOL...originally I was just going to take him down to Illustrated Man in Sydney for him to get his Ezekiel 25:17 tattoo done but when we got there firstly Zack was hells busy and secondly he was like $15 dollars short...BOOO! So we decided that we'd walk through Chinatown looking for another studio, needless to say we never did find one cause we got caught up in the Chinatown street markets that go on most evenings down there. I tried to keep to the right of the flow of traffic knowing that most of the stalls and grabby ssales people are on the left usually but no Danny had to drag me over to the left cause he "saw a break in people on the left"...LOL...there was good reason for that break everyone was trying to advoid the massage booths and their one minute "free" massages...LMAO...well lets just say that one minute free massage ended up costing Danny $100 in full body massages for him and I...LMAO.. I think from that little experience he learnt listen to the wife if you know what's good for ya...LMAO
After that we continued down to Darling Harbour with a bigger hole burnt in his pocket...we got coffee and sat on the pier for awhile just discussing what just happenned...and yup he saw Tinkerbell mode come out of me when the young female masseuse "massaged" the inside of his thigh...if looks could kill buy the girl a coffin...LMAO

Was good just to be able to sit and chat. After awhile it started getting dark and cold so we decided to head on home...How tho...on the ferry...and anyone that knows me knows that this sista NEVER sits inside on a ferry it could be pissin rain and I'll still be out the front...anyways Danny stood out there with me it was his first time seeing Sydney by night since he used to live in QLD before he moved to be with me and needless to say he wasn't used to harbour cold...LOL...silly bugger forgot to take a jumper so he was freezing and i had to hug him to keep him warm from Darling Harbour all the way around to Circular Quay...LOL
But yeah Fireside was a great night that brought back alot of great fond memories...Thanks to all of the Liverpool Stake YSA!!!

The satelite van driver from Channel 9 at the Campbelltown Police Car Park today at around 4ish this afternoon.
I spotted a small fire on the carpark garden near the lights that was spreading more and more with the winds and 43 degree heat and pointed it out to my fiancee Danny, who then started stomping on the flames in an attempt to put them out. He then spotted the driver and informed him of the small blaze that ensued and told him to grab the fire extinguisher from his van...did the driver grab the extinguisher...oh no that would be the SMART thing to do...he grabbed a 2 litre bottle of water from the front driver's cab and poured the contents on a SECTION of the fire then returned to the van and got out about 4-5 600ml bottles of water shaking them on the flames as well *rolls eyes*
Danny continued to stomp the flames where he could...singing the hairs on his ankles in the process...LOLOLOL...and kicking the dirt up over the flames in an attempt to smother them...proved to be somewhat effective since it stopped the flames from spreading...yet get this....the cops drive past whilst the fire is still getting put out and don't offer assistance, then the driver asks US where's a tap? *facepalm* he found one on the opposite side of the street at the site of the old Ambo depot....all this could have been prevented if the driver had just got the extinguisher in the first place.
When we were walking over to the council chambers after the flames were almost out 4 cops FINALLY go to where the blaze was...stupid moronic fucks!
